The MiFi is a wireless, battery-operated portable WiFi hot spot.
It also acts as a router, and enables access for up to five WiFi devices.
It uses a micro-USB jack for AC or DC power,
making it perfect for road warriors of every type.
Internet access is granted via Verizon's extensive high speed EV-DO network,
which has decent coverage around the country.
The MiFi costs $100 with a 2-year contract (or $270 without a contract),
plus $60 a month for up to 5/GB of data every 30 days.
We didn't get the MiFi to replace our satellite access,
since 5/GB a month won't cut it for us.
