flat-free tires

 2022.7.2: web.gear/bike/flat-free tires:

. solid tires are slower with

a much higher resistance to rolling

because they don't conform to bumps,

but I have felt such a sense of security

knowing that my commute to work

will not be slowed by a flat repair,

which can get messy and complicated,

not sure to succeed.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of amerityre

https://amerityre.com/our-flat-free-products/flat-free-bicycle-tires/

but they have made some design changes

since the tires I've tried.

. a folding bike I'm considering

comes with:

Muffin® Airless tires installed/$149

http://www.citizenbike.com/catalog.asp?product_category_id=1&product_id=1

. another great choice is Tannus.

Helané Wahbeh`telepathy as one form of "channeling" "the Force That Connects Us All"

 2022.1.24: news.psy/schiz/Helané Wahbeh`
telepathy as one form of "channeling" "the Force That Connects Us All"
:

Wahbeh on the radio:

https://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2022-01-24-show/

Dr. Helané Wahbeh, Director of Research at

the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS),

https://noetic.org/

has a book in which she explains telepathy as

one form of "channeling"

--which is consistent with my theory that

all forms of parapsychology

-- telepathy, prophets, evidence of

reincarnation and the afterlife --

are actually communications with our god,

the Holy Spirit, the mind of the universe,

which includes Satan, the Great Deceiver.

#healthcare #fluoride Dr. David Kennedy

19.6.2: pol/healthcare/fluoride/Dr. David Kennedy:
6.3: summary:
. more bad news about fluoride
being a hormone disruptor;
I live in Tucson which doesn't fluoridate,
so my main source has been tea
which is a fluoride accumulator,
and comes mainly from China
where there is a lot of fluoride pollution
from burning coal.
. fluoride is known to affect thyroid
and very high levels of it may reduce
testosterone levels.

. heard Dr. David Kennedy on the radio:
with Martie Whittekin (Healthy By Nature)
[Tucson, AZ, KGMS 940 AM – Sunday 1 pm]
. fluoride is an endocrine disruptor
by affecting g-protein function.
fluoride increases brain aluminum.
Dr. David Kennedy has a book:
David Kennedy 1996`How to Save Your Teeth:
Toxic-Free Preventive Dentistry.
--
. that book has cult-classic pricing on amazon
but cheap pdf's are sold by iaomt.org.

consolidated elections nov 3 2015 #Tucson city, #Pima county, AZ #vote

10.17: proj.gov/vote/consolidated elections nov 3 2015 Tucson city, Pima county, AZ:
prop 201: no
. should we stop replacing police with red light or speed cameras?
we should make sure cameras are used fairly, not abolished
because police have better things to do.
. anyone who is angry about automated law enforcement
thinks the laws are unnecessary,
and needs to get the laws changed,
or is thinking police are overlooking them
(enforcing the law only for certain types or races),
or is worried that the automated tickets are unfair;
eg, one problem is when entering an intersection
and then getting stopped by a pedestrian
so that you are still in the intersection when the light is red,
and bad judges aren't forgiving your case;
so, the solution is to get good judges,
not abolish automated law enforcement.

PĒCE Do Happy Today outreach

9.22: co.pol/Partnership for Equity and Civic Engagement
/Do Happy Today outreach:
. PĒCE (Partnership for Equity and Civic Engagement)
had a planning meeting for their Do Happy Today outreach .
 . part of happiness is getting a sense of community;
(eg free food may bring the community together)
. do you measure success in gross domestic product,
or do you measure it in national happiness levels ?
. and consider long-term happiness too:
you're high on sugar but what did alzheimer's cost?
you feel lucky but are you prepared for
climate change and limits to population growth?
. as a closing message,
I seconded the gentleman who earlier showed concern about
preparing for climate change:
even 3 days without infrastructure
would be as devastating as nuclear bomb .
(he adds that people are happy when they are grateful,
rather than being grateful when they are happy).
. we should use some of this time promoting happiness
to talk about long term happiness
remind people how fragile our supply chain is,
and that we need to relocalize,
telling people about backyard gardens and chicken raising .
[ but perhaps not a good message for a desert like Tucson
as it has more people than local water supplies .]

nut trees for desert (not mac's) #xeriscape

4: web.apt`xeriscape/nut trees for desert (not mac's):
17: summary:
. I'm looking to grow cooking oil in the desert;
the healthiest is the mac nut (macadamia).
. avocados are heavy in palmitic fat;
and other nuts have a bit too much omega-6 .
. olives are difficult to process,
brazil nut fat is good only for selenium,
(the anti-cancer cysteine-bound form),
better to get that from brocolli and onions .
. so, what can I grow in the desert,
around Tucson AZ -- zone 12 ?

iraq war ending, a real war is just beginning #ows #relig #pol #parenting

12.15: news.pol/purges/
iraq war is ending, and a real war is just beginning:

. NPR was asking the public how they felt
about the usa officially pulling out of iraq today .
. a marine who was one of the first to be
stationed at iraq's sea port, said,
"( what struck me about my job, is that
I had to replace some iraqi guy
who really did want to work
-- who wanted to care for his family ).

. no doubt that iraqi guy was already doing
a perfectly good job at defending that port!
(but the way the marine said it, at first made you assume
that usa hadn't had to take the port;
they just had to keep it secure,
and they could have just managed over the current crew,
but they didn't know how to trust them
(how do you care for your family, really,
when terrorists know you help the other side?))

. those guys wanted to work,
he poetically repeated in several places .
. wow, wasn't that the proverbial
"(your economy is just perfect now;
how do you feel? )!
--
. this call had at least 2 interesting surprises:
first I was reminded of #OccuppyWallStreet
who were said to be expecting a "(handout) for college;
because, here was a caller representing troops coming home;
and, you know, today's troops are often tomorrow's police
-- the same police having to face #ows protesters .
. then I was reminded that many marines
will be in similar job-hunting curcumstances
-- really wanting some sort of work
after they finish our war tour .
[. and not happy with just a handout .]

. well, trustables who want to work;
so, where will those jobs be?
. being trustworthy only works when you are
willing to pay people for what that trust is worth;
so, the jobs are going to people who
don't need to be trusted!
-- they're overseas, living in caves,
and can't possibly #OccupyWallStreet .

. the last idea from this call
came from the Carter admin':
at that time the military was angry with democrats
for telling the military to take a pay cut
(forgo inflation compensation)
yet the dem's still had plenty of fed money for what?
rolling out to welfare
-- for guys who didn't want to work,
and weren't conscerned about caring for their family .
[ie, the men were shadows to single welfare mom's .]

. when they saw my order was large

they offered to split the shipping job with me:
. they brought it by car, and I did the unloading .
. that saved me $50+ ! .

community gardens of tucson

news.apt/xeriscape/community gardens of tucson:
bill buckmaster radio
interviewing the community gardens of tucson (cg)
http://www.communitygardensoftucson.org/main/
. cg organizes gardens by accepting
free use of gardenable land
and then stocking it with tools
so that assigned people can rent it .
The land is usually lent to cg by a church, school
or private land owner
at no charge, for use as a garden space.
. a drip irrigation system is installed
to supply water to the plants.
A separate water meter is installed in the garden,
and the property owner is reimbursed
for all the water that is used.
each 3′ x 20′ garden plot is $15.00 per month;
This money pays for the water bills
and the irrigation equipment,
the bimonthly newsletter and a shed full of tools.
The gardener usually only needs to supply
plants/seeds and soil amendments.
