mech.pencil with less lead wasted

8.13: proj.cyb`gear/mech.pencil with less lead wasted:
. try sawing off tip of a forte pentel a55
and found that the unit is right at the chuck tip,
going below that
clears a lip that holds back the ring
that holds the chuck closed .
pencil modpencil mod fails
. the big win of the whole experiment
is the twist erase-III QE515-C:
pencil mod (simply remove tip)pencil mod works

it has a chuck-closing band that is
fused with the L-ring that holds the spring;
so, it's really easy to chuck the lead
without the tip in place .
. zero modification time -- just unscrew the tip!
and then there's no more lead wasted .
. it also has the sweetest rubber grip
that just makes you want to write faster!
. as was pointed out by others
if you showed your work on a math test
only to find your work was wrong
then this has the jumbo eraser for it .

the best pencil

8.28: co.amazon/Pentel Forté
Automatic Pencil, 0.5mm, Black Barrels, 4 Pack (A55BP4A):
4-star/not the best a not wasting lead
. on some mechanical pencils you can just
unscrew the tip and you find it's easy to
hand-regulate the lead chuck so as to
use up the last half inch of lead
-- but not this one;
try the Pentel Twist-Erase III .
