YouTube restricted a video of
former Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz
giving a five-minute lecture on the history of Israel,
the Boston Globe reported last week.
The video was published on the Prager University YouTube channel.
According to Prager University’s president,
conservative talk show host Dennis Prager,
YouTube has been blocking many of its educational talks
by well-known intellectuals and media personalities.
Following media reports of YouTube
restricting Prager University’s videos
and a complaint filed by Prager,
YouTube restored full access to Dershowitz’s video.

what are some videos now available
from Alan Dershowitz, prof of law, Harvard U
at the Prager University channel?

Israel's Legal Founding:

. lawyers founded Israel:
Theodor Herzl, Ze'ev Jabotinsky,
David Ben-Gurion, Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir;
1948 is the 3rd Jewish state;
the first was 1000-586bc
and the second was 538-36bc.

legal steps to statehood:
1917 Balfour declaration;
1920 San Remo agreement;
1922 League of nations resolution;
1924 Anglo-American Convention on Palestine;
1947 UN Partition plan;
1948, nation statehood,
and then illegally attacked by many nearby Arab states
May 1948 - March 1949 1st Arab-Israeli war
Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq,
Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Arab Liberation Army.
. it lost some of the land assigned to it by the UN;
but also gained land from the aggressors
that was originally assigned to the Arab state.
the result was an armistice line that prevailed
until the six day war June 5-10 1967
when it was attacked by Jordan
during its war with Egypt and Syria.
. 1948 to 1967 ongoing Arab state-sponsored terrorism
by surrounding nations and leaders of Palestinian groups.
710,000 Arabs fled Israel [during the war]
some chose to leave but others were forced to leave.
850,000 Judaists were forced to leave Arab nations.
yet despite its preference for legal ways
[to oust Arabs from ancient homelands]
it is the only country whose origins
(and therefore legitimacy) have been questioned
by the General Assembly of the UN
and many other organizations who claim the mantle of
human rights and rule of law.
. ironically current attacks on Israel's legitimacy
have taken the form of lawfare
-- the use of international law as a weapon
the International Court of Justice
thinks Israel has no special security needs.
. world wide attack is pure bigotry; ie, anti-semitism

BDS: The Attempt to Strangle Israel
. he's not particular supportive of Israel's policy
of West Bank settlements;
but BDS claims that is what motivates them;
in fact, they are opposed to Israel's very existence.
. if there were no attack by Jordan in 1967,
there would be no Israel in the West Bank.
. the Palestinians reject peace talks in 2000:
why should Palestinians negotiate if BDS can work.

Are Israeli Settlements the Barrier to Peace?
. the settlements started after 1967,
but the terror attacks were since 1948.
. when the settlements pulled out of Gaza strip in 2005
there was a ferocious amount of rocket attacks afterward.
military occupations are clearly permitted under international law
following an aggressive attack by a neighboring state.
