the unexpected hazards of being a statistic:

. there was a problem with exploding air bags that killed people

but they didn't have them disarmed until replacement

because statistically, if they did disarm the air bag

there would be more people dying from accidents

than there would be deaths from air bag explosions

because seat belts alone are far deadlier than

seat belts with air bags.

. but those statistics just show the cost to society;

what about the cost to my family

when they know I may never have died from an accident

but I did die from an air bag explosion?

. everyone dies in life, so how you die matters:

accidents can happen to anyone,

but an air bag explosion happens only to those who 

play Russian roulette with a faulty air bag.

. that statistics problem is also said to be

a problem with the use of vaccines.

. vaccines do result in some disability and death,

but there would be even more injuries 

without vaccines; nevertheless, 

people who feel their injuries are from a vaccine

can say their injury without vaccine was not certain,

but for them injury with vaccine has been certain.

. this can be especially hard hitting when

the purpose of the vaccine was for herd immunity

to save those who cannot make use of the vaccine.

. there have been some who are

not likely to be injured by the flu,

but they did get injured shortly after a flu vaccine.
