non-alcoholic fatty liver disease:
2018.3.26: summary:
. surprised to learn how many are sick with
something that may be related to dysbiosis;
ie, having the wrong gut germs from a bad diet
or from getting too many antibiotics
such as the pesticide Roundup
(much more common in grains and legumes now).
. Dr.Rinella blames fatty liver on
bad germs or leaky gut and being obese,
but the primary cause is our modern diet
high in fructose (sugar is half fructose).

Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease
A Systematic Review
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
affects approximately 30% of the US population.
p2266:
high visceral adipose tissue (being obese)
increases pro-inflammatory mediators
and excessive free fatty acids (lipotoxemia)
and insulin resistance;
all that affects the liver:
alterations of glucose and lipid metabolism.
. all that altered metabolism leads to
fatty liver or hepatic steatosis.
2nd stage is steatohepatitis
caused by lipotoxicity from increased free fatty acids
and by inflammation from
obesity releasing pro-inflammatory mediators,
and by intestinal dysbiosis generating portal endotoxin.
. pro-inflammatory mediators and
(endoplasmic reticulum sress
from dysregulated unfolded protein response)
leads to pro-inflammatory signalling
that along with (the vicious circle of
oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction)
causes activation of hepatic stellate cells
and collagen deposition;
that leads to fibrosis
which is a precursor to cirrhosis.
. one symptom of insulin resistance is
acanthosis nigricans
[velvety darkening of the skin.
It is usually found in body folds.]

summary:
. Crohn's disease, also known as regional enteritis,
is a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD);
which can increase the risk of cancer.
. the cause is officially unknown; but,
lifestyle choices that raise risk include
# saccharin or sucralose
# oral contraceptives,
# smoking or 2nd-hand smoke
# diets that provoke yeast or fungal overgrowth
(high in sugar or refined carb's;
or low in fiber that feed bacteria
that compete with yeasts)
# aluminum pollution in urban areas.
# low vitamin D
# nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
# prior use of antibiotics
(often killing the good germs results in
the growth of bad germs after antibiotics are discontinued;
IBD may be the immune system's response to a certain germ;
some are cured with a fecal transplant(good germs);
some go into remission on antibiotics.
. the GAPS diet might also work as an antibiotic:
it is a high-fat low-prebiotic diet that removes bad germs
followed by a fermented diet that adds good germs).
. being left-handed, you might be more inclined
to choose a lifestyle that increases risk.

reversing gum disease
6.13: summary:
. in 2013 I was starting to get a chronic gum infection;
and, for the past few months I've gotten fair results
from twice-weekly flossing, and daily listerine soaks .
. after the listerine I often use 1/4 capsule of
Garden of Life`Raw Probiotics (local fridge).
. when not soaking in listerine, I'm often soaking in
xylitol, green tea extract, and Ultimate Ascorbate C.
. after meals I soak in Carnitine, arginine,
and ALA (alpha lipoic acid).
. you may get better results from
having any scale removed from roots,
and not leaving other dead things in your mouth
as is the case with root canal jobs .

/Dr.Mercola cured toenail fungus with sun and saltwater:
Dr.Mercola didn't need oil on his toes:
I have also struggled with fungal infections
and never found a prescription or natural approach to work
until I started spending my winters
in the subtropics wearing no shoes and
having my toenails receive hours of direct sun exposure
every day [he mentions salt water helped too,
and don't forget the extra bacteria
that compete with the fungus ].
The UV rays were more than enough to solve the problem.
This does take 4-6 months though
of nearly daily sun exposure to work,
in combination with wearing sandals most of the time
so there is no moist environment for the fungus to grow.
One way to reduce your risk of fungal infections
is to cut down on sugar, which feeds the fungi.
[ but Mercola was already doing that
when he developed a fungal infection .]

leaky gut related to #autism #GAPS
2: news.health/probiotics/leaky gut related to autism:
DECEMBER 5, 2013 sciencenews.org:
DECEMBER 5, 2013 sciencenews.org:
Leaky intestines and an abnormal mix of gut microbesElizabeth Hensley wcbdad@comcast.net • a month ago:
may contribute to autism symptoms,
a study of mice suggests.
A skewed mixture of intestinal microbes results in
high levels of certain chemicals,
including one similar to a compound found in
the urine of some children with autism,
researchers report in the Dec. 19 Cell.
Mice with autism-like behaviors
also have leaky intestines,
which allow the chemicals to
build up in the animals' blood, the team found.
Giving the mice beneficial bacteria
reduced gut leakiness
and improved some abnormal behaviors,
suggesting that some children with autism
might benefit from probiotic treatments.
Google "sick monkeys" + Autism
[ http://www.ageofautism.com/2008/05 ]
to learn about vaccine overload research.
When the same kind of monkeys that are used to test
individual vaccines
are given all of them the way we do our kids
they develop the same kind of
social difficulties & painful gut problems.
