FoldRight reversed #arthritis ?

23: news.health/arthritis/FoldRight reversed arthritis?:

Jarek (Califonia USA) August 11, 2013
( reviewing Durk Pearson & Sandy Shaw's
Life Enhancement`FoldRight )
I'm 59 and I've been taking FoldRight for about nine months
hoping to feel younger (okay, don't laugh).
Unexpectedly, after the first month
my osteoarthritis improved
in my hands, knees and hip joints.
Now, nine months later
I can even snap my fingers!
My knees and hips no longer hurt
and my muscles seem firmer.
... I take two teaspoons
mixed in water before each meal.
so, what's in FoldRight?:
. this contains natural Osmolytes
keeping proteins in a correctly folded state,
by protecting them against denaturing agents .

per 2 heaping tsp (8.5 g):

Creatine monohydrate 1 g
Inositol 1 g, Trehalose 1 g, Beta-alanine 500 mg
sucralose, [toxin, not an osmolyte]
xylitol. [bone and collagen builder, not an osmolyte]

Taurine 1 g
. insulin sensitizer, promotes endothelial function
-- insulin resistance is associated with
degenerative diseases like arthritis .

Glycine 1 g, Proline 1 g;
. these are main aminos in gelatin:
21% glycine, 12% proline .
Dr.Peat:
. degenerative and inflammatory diseases can
often be corrected by the use of gelatin-rich foods .
Dr. Roland W. Moskowitz 2000:
(Role of collagen hydrolysate in bone and joint disease,
Seminars in Arthritis and Rheumatism, 2000, 30, 2, 87-99).
". pharmaceutical grade collagen hydrolysate
10 grams of per day were enough to
reduce pain in patients with osteoarthrisis ...
gelatin held a significant treatment advantage
over the placebo.
. ... calcitonin plus the gelatin
inhibited bone collagen breakdown
far better than calcitonin alone." ]
conventional view of osteoarthritis:
. osteoarthritis is usually secondary to
hormone disorders including diabetes,
extremes of growth hormone,
[high insulin acts like a growth hormone]
prediabetes with obesity,
and the hormones typical of the elderly,
esp'ly the elderly woman .
Strengthening exercises are hormonic:
. weakness of the muscles surrounding the knee
is associated with osteoarthritis;
Strengthening exercises for thigh muscles
are important in reducing the risk.
Robert Atkins, MD
(Dr.Atkins’ (Vita-Nutrient Solution;
Simon & Schuster, 1998, pp. 234.235):
"A lack of stomach acid is commonplace,
the result of aging, genetics, use of certain medications
and a variety of other factors."
Citing 11 studies Dr. Atkins contends that
"the inability to properly digest protein
contributes to asthma, diabetes, food allergies,
osteoporosis,
iron deficiency anemia, pernicious anemia,
candida, rheumatoid arthritis,
intestinal infections, psoriasis, vitiligo,
hives, eczema, dermatitis, herpetiformis and acne."
Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride:
"In terms of Gut and Psychology Syndrome,
we are talking about ...
Any dysfunction of the brain
is usually connected to what's going on
in the digestive system."
" In terms of Gut and Physiology Syndrome,
we're talking about autoimmunity.
... rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis,
and all other autoimmune conditions."
"All the inflammatory conditions, ..."
"The GAPS Nutritional Protocol
is designed to restore
the integrity of the gut lining
[summary of GAPS diet:
. when stomach acid is low,
the protein is not fully digested,
and if there is a "leaky gut" problem
then the undigested protein gets into the blood
and causes the immune system to attack itself .
. the GAPS diet prevents leaky gut
by avoiding toxic foods such as grains,
and by temporarily minimizing the fiber
that is feeding the pathogenic bacteria
that are causing some of the gut leakiness .
. it is also ensuring complete digestion of food,
so that the protein feeds you and not pathogens .]

Betaine 1.5 g;
. FoldRight happens to contain a digestive aid
similar to what the GAPS diet prescribes;
ie, Betaine is a source of hydrochloric acid
utilized by the stomach to produce pepsin
which helps digest proteins .
. the GAPS digestive aid adds pepsin too: ...

GAPS diet digestive aid:
"People with abnormal gut flora
almost without exception have
low stomach acid production.
Toxins produced by overgrowth of Candida species,
Clostridia and other pathogens
have a strong ability to
reduce secretion of stomach acid.
Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride
recommends that GAPS patients
supplement with stomach acid.
The most physiological preparation available
is Betaine HCl with Pepsin.
Individuals suffering with
stomach and intestinal problems
most frequently assume that
heartburn, indigestion, gas, and reflux
are caused by [excessive] stomach acid.
This common misconception
has been strongly reinforced
by our conventional medical profession,
whose practitioners routinely prescribe
stomach acid blocking medications
at the slightest sign of stomach dysfunction.
Strangely enough, the symptoms of stomach acid
(hydrochloric acid, HCl) over-production
and under production are virtually identical.
how to use betaine:
. consult your doctor before supplementing;
get checked for stomach or duodenal ulcers.
. adverse symptoms are most likely to occur
in those with the lowest levels of stomach acid.
(likely to have atrophic gastritis
(a thinned-out, inflamed stomach lining).
. HCL is normally neutralized by protein;
and each meal should include protein,
thus each meal should start with HCL .
. slowly increase the dose every 3 days;
Keep increasing the number of pills
until you notice some GI discomfort
then stay at the previous dosage .
. that's the right dose for the tested meal size;
you then want to adjust the dose per meal,
according to its amount of protein .
Dr. Wright reports that the typical dose
is 3,250-4,550mg per meal.
gapsdiet.com:
. in several weeks to several months
the stomach may be trained to
make proper levels of hydrochloric acid,
so you may need to decrease the dose .
"Gary G. Kish" 2009:
For about the last 25 years I would always get tired
after eating or even sick feeling with bloating and gas.
Loose stools were also part of the fun.
This stopped completely.
Betaine HCL has changed my life!
. here's Now Foods' GAPS digestive aid
at amazon, and iherb .

. if GAPS diet didn't help your osteoarthritis,
consider PerfectHealthDiet anecdotes:
joint pain got better with regular
vitamin K2 supplementation.
[ vitamin K normally comes from
having plenty of healthy gut bacteria
eating leafy greens,
and avoiding BHT which can deactivate K .]

gelatin or bone broth is part of the magic

. detoxify with gelatin via bone broths .
. homemade bone broth gelatin
is a natural digestive aid:
roast any beef or lamb bones first;
Soak bones in water plus a little vinegar
for an hour or two.
Bring the water to a boil slowly
and skim any scum that rises to the top.
Add a variety of vegetables and herbs
and allow to simmer several hours or overnight.
. get fresh organic bone broth .
. get powdered gelatin with minimal MSG:
Bernard Jensen Bovine gelatin
(radiantlifeCatalog`faq:
"[ Bernard Jensen Bovine gelatin ]
virtually eliminates formation of
glutamic acid/MSG by-products.
Recommended by Sally Fallon" .
(Fallon 2000: gelatin usually contains MSG)
. get cheap Now Foods gelatin .

for arthritis and joint pain,
broth of cartilage and tendons
has chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine .
. add any bones available to every boiling .
