the most important directive of the Torah

20.5.20: relig/judaism/
the most important directive of the Torah:

Reform Judaism Rabbi Josh Weinberg 2020.5.19:
"( “Proclaim liberty” (Leviticus 25:10)
is the most important directive of the Torah,
more basic than having one God
and more fundamental than ... even
loving one’s neighbor as one’s self.)
. the whole point of liberty
is that "free will" comes from the spirits;
the supernatural makes demands on us,
and it becomes very painful to ignore those demands;
both liberty and pleasing our god
mean the same thing:
following the will of the supernatural.
. even loving one’s neighbor as one's self
is concerned with
following the will of the supernatural
as it pressures us to protect similar beings
who follow the will of the same god.

. thus nothing is more basic than
Deuteronomy 6: 4-5:
4 Give ear, O [the prophet's people]:
{Adonai, Adonoi, The Lord(owner, master, guardian)}
our god is one: [ie, the god of gods:
the will of the supernatural
shall be the same for all of us:]
5 And our god Adonai is to be loved
with all your heart, soul, and strength.

. here is the meaning of that command:
the supernatural comes to us with a variety of ideas;
some of which are contradictory,
eg, the supernatural wants some to gain by cheating
only to want others to discourage cheaters.
. thus there are limits to liberty,
as the god cannot have
what the god later regrets;
therefore, knowing the god is one,
that we all hear the same god,
and not a cacophony that would bedevil us,
is more basic than liberty.

. on the other hand,
if your people and my people
cannot agree on the same god;
truly then, nothing is more important than
liberty to love our own god and not yours.

. but what about world peace?
therefore, we should design our god of gods
to meet only the most basic needs
to require the fewest loss of liberty.
but can we really agree?
. some assume abortion saves a child from
the abuse of subconsciously feeling resented;
while others assume such euthanasia is murder.
. some feel abortion saves the world,
as it is the only way of reducing population
and building wealth that helps with peace.

. the 3rd alternative, by the god I promote,
is to communalize child production
and vote on how many children a person can have.
. each commune can have their own vote
(I join where they let the entertainers and scientists
do 80% of our breeding!)
but there are limits to the poverty of a commune:
a commune that is spending more on unemployment
than on education, needs to demand that
the commune as a whole has fewer children.
. if a commune has trouble with compliance,
they need to start restricting the men involved
rather than euthanizing their children.
. we can afford a few mistakes
without making the kids feel resented,
because we are all coming together to
finance and babysit the commune's children.
. communes don't need to share a house;
but sharing childcare is easier if you live nearby;
they only need to share a newsletter.
. but this also means that parenting is allowed
only if some commune agrees to adopt you;
a parenting club with enough members
to cover the costs of unemployment.

. it's true, isn't it?
nothing is more important than liberty;
not even the care of the children.
give us liberty from liberty.

wealth4all religion

3.24: adds/minimalist religion:
. the religions I'm seeing so far
are too much into micromanagement:
. the main thing to keep in mind
when designing a religion,
is that it is very easy to stray;
and, we have to work at
maintaining a moral community .

open-house commune

1.8: adds/open-house commune:
summary of how to run a commune:
. the commune I have in mind is like a marriage;
you are committing to a relationship,
to the idea of sharing in the raising of children
and you might like sharing meals and company too
like at boarding school .
. people that want more privacy
-- esp'ly private parenting --
are protecting the ones that abuse privacy .
. privacy and lack of transparency
is the root of all evil .

#Catholic gloriously right and fatally wrong

12.8: relig/christian#catholic/gloriously right and fatally wrong:
. the Catholics were both gloriously right
and fatally wrong:
they knew that the planet was doomed unless
we coordinated under one loving govt(papacy),
but their strategy for motivation
was to claim their authority came from
Jesus being The Son of God
which then inspired the equally successful
militant Islam counter-christian revolution;
thereby ensuring
they could never claim the crown
even after 2000 years of demon-amusing war .
. another mistake of the same kind
produced the schism that resulted in protestantism;
again, the idea is that if we want a rule4all,
we need a very lightweight doctrine
that can give local variants room to breath .
. on the other hand,
the true, covert purpose of religion or gov,
has been to provoke the wars
that promote the evolution of tech
that ensures our eternal survival after Sun death .
. in this regard,
Catholicism has been a stunning success .

message is save anyone not everyone

7.29: relig/christian/the message is save anyone not everyone:
. christian notices that the free market is immoral
because commercialism is diluting our culture .
. however, that is actually christian's fault;
because they are the ones who believe
that they are G*D-ordained to
convert and embrace the entire world;
so, their own idea for the
free-marketing of religion
means that everyone else's culture must be diluted
-- but the rub works both ways:
their culture gets diluted as well .
. what's really notable about that though
is that it doesn't have to be that way
according to their own leader, Christ .
. when Jews seek to maintain moral quality,
their ultimatum to you is social rejection .
. when JC set out to save the world
he was indeed looking beyond
his own Jewish community
but the idea was to recruit anyone -- not everyone .
. he had an important culture to foster,
and, whoever would embrace it,
that was who his new family would be .
[ his new religion was this:
you are unfairly calling people sinners:
. when your disabled make it look as if
your community is being cursed by G*D
you claim that god has really
caused the disability as a punishment
and that the reason for this is that
self or family has displeased G*D .
. faced with the demon-possessed (mentally ill),
you are forcing them to feign physical disabilities
in order to get sympathy while begging;
you shun people in required jobs like tax collectors,
and you shun the jobs you force on them
with your poverty and under-the-table demands:
eg, why is the prostitute allowed but shunned?
why are kids shunned for being born out wedlock
-- for what their parents did?
I'm not saying you have to embrace
or convert the whole world
but we need to take responsibility
for the mess we make as a society,
rather than leave the disabled
to beg or prostitute .]
. we CHRISTIANs need to live by example
and encourage people to join us that way;
we need control of our cities;
we can't have creeping democracy
forcing our city to flip cultures;
instead, new cultures should find new cities .
this is where privacy is really important
-- on the cultural level --
yet this is where we have none!
. a community 's privacy right
means the right to not be invaded by
competing cultures .
[7.29:
. this notion of community privacy rights
is directly at odds with the
separation of church and state clause;
but that clause make sense only at
the state and federal levels;
it doesn't makes sense at the community level
where people want to share values
to achieve trust and reduce contact stress .]
[9.26:
. but wouldn't this perpetuate intolerance?
the primary concern about intolerance
was what to do with freed slaves;
but if we offered them the American Dream
-- a piece of fertile land,
or the ownership of a thriving business --
I'm sure they would have been
quite happy with "(intolerance) .]

. the place where cultural competition can happen
is in the economic realm, like so:
if your culture can't afford a business
then you sell it,
and the new owners replace your culture with theirs .
. if a gated community has too many vacancies,
they may decide to convert the culture,
ie, sell it for use by some other culture
so that they can use the money to
expand where they can thrive .
. the way it is now though
gives each culture too much ability to
erode the values of another culture
even when the market has given it no in-roads .

. there can still be minimum fed standards
that ensure communities are not
holding people against their will
or getting into child abuse or neglect;
and that's where issues happen:
is being a drug addict considered to be
child endangerment?
. drugs could still be allowed in adult communities .

7.29: 9.26:
. but what about the free market?
you have to tolerate all these behaviours
because we have a right to
set up shop in your community,
and when we do, we have a right to expect
that you will not limit our clients .

7.29: 9.26:
. what about the free parent's dump:
your culture is so uninviting
that you keep losing people
and you are really adding to the federal blight;
because, you send them out with no resources .
. yet you are finding ways to
still own all the cities,
thereby creating all these homeless people .

unlimited free online storage

6.12: summary:
. there is plenty of free storage online:
2GB from dropbox
5GB from google's g'Drive
7GB from Microsoft's SkyDrive,
and 5GB sync'ing services from
Ubuntu One and Apple's iCloud;
however,
iCloud doesn't sync just any folder:
it sync's your iWork doc's,
and 3rd party app's are free to sync
what's in their sandbox;
it also pushes your itune purchases
to all your devices .

. there are many more free sites too,
and, even some unlimited free plans
as long as you're publicly sharing your files,
or not using an ad'blocker, etc .

. DropBox and SkyDrive may be deleted
if not visited every 90 days;
google's gmail has an inactivity policy
but it's Drive service apparently does not .

duelers allowed to Stand Their Ground? #Trayvon

5.17: look how beat up he looks!
. I can't believe the media is
still ignoring the obvious:
if you maliciously provoke an attack
by following a guy in the dark,
filling him with fear,
and then popping off with "(what are doing here?!)
when you're not even the police;
you better not get close enough
for a punch in the nose!
. this was a good case for Stand Your Ground
but unfortunately,
Trayvon didn't have a gun, Mr.Zimmerman!

4.16: pol/purges/trayvon/
profiling is hardly the main issue:

. on the diane rheme show,
it was argued that Trayvon's treatment
involved profiling ?
but it was far worse than that!
now, granted, profiling is an invasion of
constitutionally protected privacy,
but Trayvon's case was a horrific instance of
vigilantism by random peer punishment
-- a form of premeditated murder!
. just profiling is not murder
if you don't mix it with Stand Your Ground
in the Middle of the Public Grounds lunacy!

4.20: pol/purges/Trayvon/
standing your ground law encourages dueling:

. the problem with stand your ground
if you're trying to defend Zimmerman with it,
is that the same law was
also defending Trayvon's response:
. don't take "(what are you doing here)
from a stranger in the night;
stand your ground, Trayvon!
. and as Trayvon stood his ground,
he finds a hole in this law:
. when we take the law into our own hands,
we sometimes find the criminal can out-gun us !
. poor, Trayvon, live & learn, my friend;
but at least you tried to stand your ground,
we'll remember you were proud,
a true american .
. anyway, you can see from this,
that the law as it now stands
is actually promoting armed duels in the street !
(back in the day,
the duel was the way 2 men resolved high-stakes disputes:
they would agree on walking away from eachother,
and on a certain count, both would turn around
to shoot their opponent ).
. the quickest draw wins, Trayvon .

sportsification of politics

4.13: co.apt/pol/purges/reaganomics/
sportsification of politics:

(I heard someone lamenting the Bush deficits,
and I thought their reason was so gamy;
we certainly are credit worthy eno' to receive
any amount of debt;
so let's get to the real problem here!)

. they are not even trying to be reasonable;
this is just sportsification of politics;
the main game lately has been to
keep the liberals away from
redistributing the wealthy's money .
. the repub's might say they want the chinese to
stop manipulating their currency
because it worsens the trade deficit,
but did you notice how the chinese were
doing that currency manipulation?
they are buying dollars with their savings,
which means that whenever the fed's need a loan,
the chinese are right there giving us that loan!
[5.17:
. yet the during the previous decade
it was a republican presidency saying to us,
that we didn't need to pay our taxes,
we'll just borrow from the Chinese!
. don't worry about funding the War on Terroism,
the Chinese are happy manipulating their currency,
thank god .]

[4.15: remember how this started:
. if you're a capitalist looking the world's opportunities,
everything about american employees is overpriced .
. it's not just the labor unions
demanding an equal place at the table;
every single citizen is part of virtual labor union
that is heavily taxing employers
to pay for pensions (social security)
and senior medical care (medicare).
. then if they are competitively expected to
subsidize employee heath insurance,
then they are also subsidizing medicaid
-- tax payers and employers split the bill on that one .
. if, on the other hand,
they can get their employees from out of country,
either by exporting jobs, or importing workers,
then they can pass on that healthcare tab
to other countries who are
not so confused about living standards .
. how are americans acting confused?
they keep defending their right to expand the population,
and they also demand that capitalists or the fed
should be finding them jobs that pay more and more
in order to cover increases in cost of living
that are due primarily to their own population growth .

politics of bike lanes

2.21: news.pol/bike lanes/zombie issue:
. this paper: why bike lanes and paths aren't the answer,
is hoping to demand equal rights for hpv's
Human-Powered Vehicles. we need to plan cities around hpv's;
(human-powered vehicles);
this is sad .
hpv's should be electric-assisted
and enclosed (velomobile)
so that the physically disabled
can use the same vehicles .
. safe, weatherproof, eco-friendly,
economical and healthy:
universally usable transportation .
the automotive x-prize winner has a good start;
that car is light eno for pedaling to be meaningful .
. it should also perfect suspension systems
so that we can forever be rid of flat tires .
why bike lanes and paths aren't the answer:
League of American Bicyclists:
. bike paths along roadways:
# economics:
It is difficult, if not impossible in most locations,
to design a safe [side path]-style
separated bicycle facility .
# accidents occur at intersections:
every driveway or side road is an intersection;
and side paths enormously complicate those intersections
in ways that impact safety...Bicycle Accidents: Biomedical, Engineering and Legal Aspects

I love the bus? not invented yet

12.17: pol/I love the bus? not invented yet:
. love the bus? after years of
multi-transfer commuting by bus,
I'd once decided that each employer
should be providing their own housing
just so we could avoid the frig'ing bus!
. I was later reminded by industrial accidents,
that there are good reasons
for not living near work!
. reviewing the issue, I finally found
a bus I could love:
. each employer does provide housing for each shift,
and also provides a private bus that links
an employer's home site with their work site;
with such direct routes,
the bus involves no waiting in unsecured places .
. busing works for shopping too,
when part of the gated community model:
your secure id card is the way to get on,
they charge you by debit;
so, there's no more being sardined with
unidentified terrorists or nutty criminals .
. there are direct bus lines between every mall,
and every gated community .
. people with behaviors lose their license to bus,
and must either use pedal cars,
or let relatives do the shopping .
. with the efficiency and safety of
the gated community model,
the usa's citizens could be on the path to
being competitive with chinese communism
while still retaining their std of living;
assuming that std doesn't continue to involve
gross denial of unhealthy lifestyles .
. buses that run clean green fuels,
could significantly reduce usa's exposure to
carcinogens in oil-based fuels;
but the greatest carcinogen in the usa by far
is their ignorance of hormone issues:
diets that raise insulin and cortisol,
and the use of female hormones to control birth .
