4-stars/thoughts from both the god and self (#schizophrenia):

. this is a book about cultivating thoughts,

gardening of the mind,

so important for when you become born again

and realize that our god has been

alive and watching the whole time,

and now it is time for judging and repentance.

. Langer reviews many of the ways that

Judaism, Jesus, and the Christian prophet Paul,

taught us to cultivate our thoughts and feelings.

. Langer[p105, p110] has the typical Christian delusion

that Jesus' tortured death paid for our "sins",

meaning that humans generally are guilty of

offending the god and requiring its forgiveness,

in contrast to the theory that

the god is getting everything it asked for,

and that the purpose of this universe,

is to generate an infinite diversity of experiences.

p26: born again:

. first spiritual encounter at age 42,

completely changed Langer's life:

it became obvious that our god loves us

even more than we love ourselves;

p109:

discovering what it meant to be connected to the god;

p112: ask the living god to be your gardener..

p37: and you become a channel of the god's love.

p31:

. the god has been a coach the past 28 years.

(p58: Jesus came into Langer's life 27 years ago.)

p48:

. the god had a few things to say about

Langer's marketing plan.

p29:

. all relationships are in need of

the god's unconditional love,

and it is available through Jesus,

our Christ, Savior, and Lord.

. the god's Holy Spirit and Jesus' precious word

instruct humanity to be peace-makers.

proverbs 4:23:

. your life is shaped by your secret thoughts.

John 15: our god is the cultivator of our thoughts:

Jesus is saying:

1 I am the true vine

[literally life-supporting fruit,

figuratively, the mental path supporting life]

and our god and Father is the Vine gardener:

2 the god takes away every fruitless branch in me

and for every branch which has fruit,

he makes clean, so that it may have more fruit.

3 You are clean, even now,

through the teaching which I have given you.

James 1:13:

. our god is not the source of temptation;

(Satan is the tempting one).

--. Satan and the Christian god are

mere characters from the supernatural,

all serving the purpose of the god of gods,

the all-powerful influencer of everything,

including what you believe is your own will.

(some parts of self can be due to

truly random physics of the brain;

but some randomness is actually chosen by

the supernatural).
