our fight is not with humans but with spirits:
. the current divisions between usa's political parties
(Repub's as christian or traditional;
and, the Dem's as liberal or modernist)
reminded me our primary fight is
not between countries (eg, usa vs Russia),
or democracies vs dictatorships,
but between the various spirits
that support opposing moral positions;
eg, the biblical vs anti-biblical,
or the modernist vs traditionalist.
. the bible of the early church
has some related verses.

Ephesians [Kehillah in Ephesus] 6:
11 Take up the god's
instruments of war, [or shield]
so that you may be able to
keep your position against
all the deceptions of the Evil One [theSatan].
12 For our fight is not against
flesh and blood, [the humans of this world]
but against authorities(principalities),
and powers,
against the world-rulers of this dark night,
[the choshech of the Olam Hazeh],
[the rulers of the darkness of this world --kjv];
against the spirits of evil in the heavens
[the kokhot ruchaniyim ra’im in Shomayim]
[the spiritual wickedness in high places. --kjv].

Ephesians 3:10-11:
10 So that now to the rulers
and the authorities in the heavens
might be made clear through the church
the wide-shining wisdom of the god,
[through the Moshiach’s Brit Chadasha Kehillah(Paul)]
11 Which is seen in his eternal purpose
in Christ Jesus ourLord:
[in Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua Adoneinu]
12 By whom we come near to the god without fear
through faith in him.

Romans [Kehillah in Rome] 8:
38 For I am certain that not death, or life,
or angels, or rulers[principalities],
or things present, or things to come,
or powers [kochot*],
39 Or things on high,
or things under the earth,
or anything which is made,
will be able to come between us
and the love of the god which is
in Christ Jesus ourLord.
*: eg, Kochot haNefesh:
"Powers of the Soul",
eg, one such power is Bittul
(Human "self-nullification" of ego),
which turns the Ani-"Self" into
Ayin-"Nothingness" in preparation for
experiencing the Divine "Ayin"
nullification of Existence.

Romans 16:20:
And the god of peace will be
crushing theSatan under your feet before long.
